Our fishing tradition is one of the things that have endured over the years, something natural for being an island.
This is still very clearly reflected in our gastronomy, so rich in fish and rice dishes, like paella, guisat or bullit de peix, rice with lobster…
There are so many delicacies to discover that we could not possibly list them all. What we do provide you with in this blog are 4 restaurants where you can try them.
Can Gat in San Carlos
In 1974 Can Gat opened its doors, a restaurant with a markedly Ibizan character, as it maintains the original recipes that were cooked in the fishermen’s huts.
The bullit de peix with arròs a banda is one of the star dishes of this emblematic place in Cala de San Vicente; we highly recommend you try it.
You can accompany this iconic Ibiza dish with an Ikigall, a Luis Cañas Crianza or a Guillaume Aurele Rose.
Can Jaume in Cala Vedella
This restaurant has it all: sea, sand, pine trees and above all the best rice dishes on the island.
Cala Vedella is already a recommended visit to enjoy a very peaceful and pleasant day at the beach, but you could also put the icing on the cake by eating at the restaurant Can Jaume.
Accompany its magnificent menu, a reflection of Ibizan gastronomy, with a glass of Pazo Mariñán, Quinta or Emilio Moro.

Ses boques in Es Cubells
If the two previous restaurants stood out for something specific in the gastronomy of Ibiza, in this one you can enjoy all the flavors of the sea.
At Ses Boques you can try fresh fish, paellas, calderetas (stews)… And all with relaxing views of the island of Formentera from its wooden terrace.
If you drop by this intimate cove in Es Cubells and visit them, you will find some ideal wines to accompany the experience, such as Dahlia Rosé, La Montesa or Gramona Brut Imperial.
Maria Luisa in Cala Vedella
Another magnificent restaurant in Cala Vedella is Maria Luisa, with its spectacular terrace right on the beach.
This restaurant has a long history in Ibizan restaurants, having opened in 1987, and still maintains its traditional menu of fish and rice dishes in Ibiza.
You can accompany your experience with a glass of Polvorete Godello, Carramimbre Roble or Xumeu Vinya Brut Rose.
We remind you that if you finally visit one of these 4 restaurants with good fish and rice in Ibiza, and by chance you fall in love with one of the wines, at Mr. Vin we have all your favorites.
We ship all over the island!
